Teaching Again!!!

It has been exactly 5 months since I've taught a class, and this week I started teaching again!! I have to admit, I was a bit nervous, but decided not to let it overwhelm me. I decided if I'm not having fun doing it, I shouldn' do it. So I went in there, and had fun!! On Monday nights I'm teaching Kickboxing....

On Wednsday night we get to do step....
(couldn't pass up this picture with the 80's outfits!!)

And on Thursdays we'll be doing bodsculpt. That is one of my main goals right now is to get this body of mine some definition again!! I need my arms to look like the picture below. When they do, I'll be able to just stick a picture of myself on here instead of having to look for some on google!!

I am excited to be teaching again and getting back into that routine. It has felt normal just jumping right back into it, but still there's that bit of self doubt that sneaks in. I feel like that's a good thing though, it makes me want to be better and not just settle.

Something I love too, is taking classes and not just teaching. It is so great to go to class and not have to think and not have to worry about not having enough time, or having too much time. Just to work out.

I go through different phases of "love" with working out. Sometimes I love working out because it's just my own time away from kids and life. Sometimes I love working out because it's a chance to get my body back. Sometimes I love working out because of the results afterwards because during the work out it can really suck!!! Overall I just love the way I feel during and after. Like I've done something good for myself.

HAPPY EASTER....

What a great day!!! It was so beautiful and so much fun to be together as a family. Steve and I took the kids and dogs to the park and we were just standing there watching them fly kites, swing on the swings, going down the slides, and couldn't believe that 18 years ago we were just dating............. and here we are with 5 kids and two dogs!! We are very blessed and very thankful to be living this life.

If I were good on the computer I would upload a country song right now to be playing. It's a song by Trace Adkins and also sung by Toby Keith called "Youre gonna miss this." It talks about people living their lives, but always looking ahead to the next thing, and he says, "You're gonna miss this, you're gonna want this back." We try to keep that in mind when the kids are fighting!!!

THE CUTEST FIVE NEWTON KIDS EVER!!!!

RYAN HOPE WITH HER EASTER BASKET...... NOT REALLY SURE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT, SHE JUST LIKES PLAYING WITH THE BUCKET AND GETTING THE GRASS EVERYWHERE!!

I THINK BRADEN WAS THE MOST EXCITED FOR EASTER THIS YEAR. HE DID A COUNTDOWN ALL WEEK. IT WAS FUN TO WATCH HIM RUN AROUND LOOKING FOR EGGS....

BRANDON WAS EXCITED TOO. HE COULDN'T WAIT TO GO TO SLEEP SO THAT HE COULD SEE WHAT THE EASTER BUNNY WAS GOING TO BRING!

MY CAMRYN IS GROWING UP. BEFORE SHE WENT TO BED SHE SAID, "IT'S REALLY PRETTY WEIRD TO THINK OF A BIG BUNNY HOPPING INTO YOUR HOME AND HIDING EGGS, BUT WHATEVER."

AND OUR TEENAGER. SHE'S THE BEST GIRL EVER. SHE GOT THE THIRD BOOK IN THE "UGLIES" SERIES. AND ALSO A GIFT CARD TO HOLLISTER. PRETTY COOL EATER BUNNY!!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!! We love you!!

FASHION...

When it comes to fashion, and what's "in", I have to admit, I'm "out"!! I swear, the only logos that I recognize are the following....

I am completely serious when I say that the most I am willing to spend on a pair of jeans is $25-$30. I have figured out that about every 5 to 6 years I give in and spend $60-$80 on one pair of jeans and tears are usually involved.

I went shopping with my friend Stacey this weekend. (it always amazes me that we are such good friends because we are so opposite in so many ways!!) When she said she was coming to Salt Lake to shop I told her I wanted to come with her. She then informed me that we would not be entering a WalMart, Target or Old Navy during this shopping trip. (By the way, that is the extent of my shopping, low end is Walmart, middle Target, and when I'm feeling wild and crazy, I'll go into Old Navy. I usually end up at the clearance rack in all 3 stores. Oh my gosh, pitiful!!)

Anyways, I told her I was up to the challenge and we ended up going to this store...

Ya, did you know that they have jeans there that cost $135!!! And they have t-shirts that cost $30, for a T-SHIRT!! I had to take a deep breath and just go with the flow. I tried on a million pairs of jeans (mostly because my fashion guru, Stacey, kept bringing me more to try on)

When I went to check out I am serious I had to walk away and have Stacey sign for it so I wouldn't have to see the total. I knew it would ruin my evening if I knew!! People there were laughing at me and the sales lady said, "thanks for coming, see you in a few years".

I am proud to say that I bought myself a pair of Silver Jeans (for those of you who may be like me and not into fashion, I am not referring to the color of the jean when I say silver, it's the brand. ha-ha) And a pair of BKE capris, along with a t-shirt that was yes, $30!!! (my poor kids won't be eating this week, I just spent our food money)

Moral of the story, when I wear a red t-shirt that says Hurley or something like that on it, and have on some cute jeans or capris, please tell me it's so awesome and I look like a million bucks. Because in my mind, that's how much I spent that day!!!!

LOST BIKE!!!!

So, for Braden's birthday he got this Awesome and Expensive BMX dirt bike. He was so excited, and we were so excited to give it to him!!

We now have a sign posted around the neighborhood with this picture of my darling little boy and his LOST BIKE!!!!

It seriouslly is gone. He left it in front of our house, and I guess someone must have taken it. I find myself standing out in the front yard thinking it's going to just show up, like it's a lost dog or something. What a bummer!! We are upset with him for leaving it out, and just plain upset that it's gone!!!

My only hope is that it was someone less fortunate that needed to take it and there's a cute little boy riding it around right now thinking he has the coolest parents ever. (even though they're dirty rotten thieves!!)

Quick Post......

I can't believe this baby is so small and fits in the dryer! I can't believe I laughed when my girls put her in there, that's dangerous!! Not like they closed the door or anything, but still!!

Braden idolizes Brandon!! It is so cute to watch.

I had more to say, but no time, so I'm going to push Publish Post now!!

5 Newton Kids....

Just a little tribute to my wonderful kids. With each child we have the same picture with Steve and I holding our new baby. (I say the "same" picture, but if you look at my ROUND face holding Linden, you'll realize, yes I gained 60 pounds with her!!!)

You just can't describe the feeling you have right when you're holding your new baby, it's amazing!!! And a feeling I won't get to feel again, so I will love and cherish these moments I had....

OCTOBER 16, 1993

LINDEN ANN NEWTON

(both her Grandma's have the same middle name)

8 lbs 6 oz

8:32 am

(labor 8 hours)
I started feeling "uncomfortable" and told Steve. He finally said, "you're feeling uncomfortable every 2 minutes!!" We were told when the contractions were 5 minutes apart to call the hospital, so I was reluctant to call (bigger dork?) Steve finally called and they said to get right in to the hospital!!

Born in Salt Lake City....

Linden - 14 years old...

FEBRUARY 16, 1999

CAMRYN NICHOLE NEWTON

(mom has the same middle name)

7 lbs. 6 oz.

2:16 pm

(labor 6 hours)

Camryn is my painful labor!! The epidural wore off, so I felt the whole thing. Not fun! But she was so worth it! Our best baby out of all of them. She was so good we thought something was wrong!

Born in Idaho Falls, ID

Camryn - 9 years old

AUGUST 9, 2000

BRANDON STEVEN NEWTON

(middle name same as dad!)

8 lb.s

2:39 am

Born in Idaho Falls, ID

(4 hour labor)

Our Brandon tried to come at 32 weeks! I was on bed rest for a month and then at 36 weeks they let me stop taking the medication. I had him the next day at 36 weeks. He was a whopping 8 lbs!! That boy was ready to join the world!!

Brandon - 7 years old

FEBRUARY 3, 2003

BRADEN LLOYD NEWTON

(middle name same as Grandpa's middle name and Great Grandpa's first)

7 lbs. 12 oz

9:47 am

(labor 2 hours)

I went into the hospital at 7 in the morning. They started the pit, put in the epidural and then told me to push. I was so shocked how quickly it happened. Steve worked at the hosptial and I had told him to go up and do some work while I waited for the pit to start working. I called instead to say tell him to hurry up and get down to the room to have the baby!!

(another memory of mine is how much I hated wearing the hospital gown because it was green and white, (Olympus colors) it just didn't feel right!! Give me my blue and gold forever in the sun!

Born in Idaho Falls, ID

Braden - 5 years old
JUNE 8, 2007

RYAN HOPE NEWTON

(named after the Angel of Hope)

7 lbs 7 oz.

4:56 pm

Born in Salt Lake City

(6 hour labor - thought it would be faster with the track record I had!!)

My last baby!! I tried to just enjoy it (as much as you can enjoy that!) I remember sitting there with my epidural eating a popcycle and them telling me it was time to have my baby. Steve started making fun of me at how easy the whole thing was!!

I was nervous with my Ryan to see what her hand was going to look like. What a relief when she was born. I saw it and just knew that everything would be alright. She's our angel!!

Ryan - 8 months old There's a song that describes what I've wanted to be my whole life. A few people will recognize it...... "When I grow up, I want to be a mother, and have a family, one little two little three little blessing from above, and I will love them all day long, and give them cookies and milk and yellow balloons, and cuddle them when things go wrong, and read them stories and sing them pretty tunes" Funny thing that song says nothing about poopy diapers, sleepless nights, temper tantrums!! Just the parts we love!! We put up with the bad to get all the good, right?

Camryn's Birthday Weekend!!!

CAMRYN NICHOLE NEWTON

BORN 2-16-99 AT 2:16 PM.... (couldn't have planned that one any better!!)

Our Beautiful Camryn was born 9 years ago!!! I was induced around 8:00 am. Things went great until the real pain came and my epidural wore off!! I remember asking Steve over and over to push the "button" that would give me more medicine. Poor Steve, there was no button to be found to take away the pain!! Needless to say, I pretty much felt the whole birth, and it wasn't pleasant! BUT, once it was over I was holding a beautiful baby girl in my arms and life couldn't have been more complete. Camryn was a PERFECT baby, and continues to bring our family so much joy!!!

Camryn is a great Big, and Little Sister....
We had a heart birthday party for her, it was really fun...

Crazy friends...
After her party, we were off to the cabin with Camryn's cousin Emma, and friend Sara. They had so much fun playing with makeup, playing in the snow, watching movies and just giggling and being silly!!!

This is a perfect example of my Camryn's personality. Laying in the snow in her new bikini!! What a crazy fun girl!!

The snow was soooooo high at the cabin!! I can't wait to go this summer and look at the Hammer Hideaway sign and remember that the snow was up to it!!
And of course, a photo of the moose!

Camryn, I love you, Happy Birthday! You are a fun, spunky, beautiful, cute ,outgoing, wonderful 9 year old that we love so much!!
