I have to start out by saying I had a great day at church today. I've been slacking a bit lately in the testimony area and Relief Society today was exactly what i needed. The teacher got up and asked a simple question... What things make you happy? What are those simple thiings in life, that just make it worthwhile. A lot of answers were about kids and how much frustration they can bring, but at the same time, such joy. One sweet girl in our ward lost her 3 year old boy just a few months ago and she told us about a song she'd sing with him and that's how she gets through. There are so many small things that make us happy that we need to take advantage of.
I raised my hand and described my dad in this costume last year and how it is now on my fridge and has been for a year. It just makes me happy. I love my dad!!!

I love clown dad. but lollipop dad is right up there, especially when he sang to mom!
Thanks for sharing. At times it's hard to remember all those little things.
ps I joined the new gym on Monday.
That is a great reminder that we all need to slow down sometimes and remember what is really important.
