I grew up skiing, and had a good time doing it, but as I got older realized, I really don't like being COLD!!! So, my wonderful sweet husband has taught each of our kids starting at 4 years old, how to ski.
Imagine those Sautrdays when I load up all the kids with Steve and they leave for the slopes, "Have fun!!" I say, and then I spend the day with Ryan in my warm home...
Well, this past Saturday I followed through on a promise to my kids that I would go skiing with them. We took Ryan to Brammy and Bapa's house, and we headed to Snowbird!!! It really was a great thing to see my kids skiing and having such a great time. I love Steve so much for giving this gift to our kids!!
Me and my honey getting ready for the big day...
The kids all had skis on and sat and waited for me. They had quite a laugh just watching me try to walk around in my ski boots. Ha-Ha!!

It all began with a flirt and a hit!!!
If I got a calendar out I could find the exact day I met Steve. It was a weekend in September 1989. I went to a U of U football game with some Kappas. I had fun running around flirting and not paying one bit of attention to the game. After the game (that I'm sure the U won because come on, it's the U) I was walking back to the Kappa house with a friend and she fell and got hurt so she went home. I was left with the option of going to my car and going home, or walking to the Kappa house alone and hanging out. THIS is where I believe fate takes over. I walked by myself over to the Kappa Sig house and went in to this party alone.
That same night Steve had just broken up with his girlfriend and had come back from the game to the Kappa Sig house. (I'm sure to find a quick scam!!)
I remember exactly where we were standing in the Kappa Sig house. A group of people were just talking and laughing and Steve said something funny (imagine that). I remember hitting him in the arm when he said it, and then before I knew it, he had hit me back! Boys don't hit girls!!! But this boy did! We ended up laughing and dancing at the Kappa Sig house. Then he took me to the "U" on the hill. I told him over and over I wasn't going to kiss him, but man, he knows how to work it! We kissed on the U, and then in the car in a park until we were busted by the cops!!
Sorry, I got lost in the past there for a minute. I just found these pictures of the two of us and fell in love all over again......
This is my favorite picture of Steve and I. We went to a Kappa Sig formal and he gave me a watch that night. We jumped in a hot tub in clothes, and just laughed and had so much fun. I totally fell in love!!.jpg)

SIX THINGS I KNOW FOR SURE....
Life can be confusing and crazy and hectic. But the six things I know for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt are the following.....
#1 - I LOVE THIS MAN!!! I love how hard he works to support our family, I love the time and love and advice he gives to each of our children, I love knowing that at the end of the day we'll put the kids to bed, bake our cookies and sit down on the couch together to watch a show!!

GO UTES!!!
Saturday morning began with our now traditional red U of U pancakes...
We had everyone over for a big UTAH party!!! The requirements were that people had to wear red, and that any food they brought was red. It was so fun, we had red m&m's, sweedish fish, licorice, pizza, shrimp dip, seven layer dip with red salsa on top, coke, you name it, it was red!!!
The cousins had a blast playing and hanging out.... Every so often they'd run in when they heard us all screaming and dancing around, just to make sure the U was winning...
We love mom and dad, our #1 Ute fans!!
The Whole gang, we had sooooooo much fun. There were times when Mom was dancing on the coffee table, Colter was flapping like a bird, Chell was doing her pep club move, you get the picture!!!
And the FAVORITE of the night, the Flashing U!!! My cutest husband first of all built this U from scratch. He has been searching for something to make the lights blink on and off when the U wins, but couldn't find anything. SO HE SAT ON THE DECK IN THE FREEZING COLD AND BLINKED THOSE LIGHTS ON AND OFF FOR 2 HOURS!!! I kept asking him to come in, but he'd just say, "there may be one more BYU fan I can torture though!!!" I love him!!!
Press play for the full effect of the flashinig U!!

CRUISIN'.....
Steve and I went on our first cruise for his 40th Birthday!! It was SOOOOO amazing!!! I have literally 120 pictures from the trip, so it was hard to choose just a few, but here they are....
We were in room 4140 in honor of my honey's 40th birthday!!
It was so fun to dress up on the "formal" nights. Steve didn't love it as much as me, but he was a good sport!!
What a great time on the beach, buying stuff from the thousands of people coming around "selling". I heard over and over, "Mira, Mira, Almost Free".... Have to admit, after a while they get quite annoying though!! I always seemed to get suckered in to buying more stuff though!
I'm not the adventurous type, but I've always wanted to parasail. I was laying out and Steve came over and said it was time for me to parasail, he had paid and everything. I was FREAKING out!! It was so amazing though!!
Look how high I was!!! I kept saying to myself, "my life is complete, as long as I live through this!!"
Steve out on a boogie board... Some of the waves were really big!
Steve really wanted to see the sun rise, so the last morning on the boat we got up early and waited up on deck. I was NOT excited about it, but knew he wanted to see it. So we waited, and waited, and then, oh my gosh, it was sooooooo awesome!!! It just all of a sudden popped out from the horizon! Steve gave me such a hard time (which I totally deserved) because I was so excited about how neat it was!
